The mountain dulcimer is an instrument that is very approachable for those who have never played a musical instrument before. For those who do have musical background, the mountain dulcimer can likewise be very rewarding to play after only a brief time. This instrument's potential to be a source of gentle, healing music for both players and listeners also contributes to its appeal.

If you would like to learn more about playing the mountain dulcimer, I am available throughout the year for private mountain dulcimer lessons in Pensacola. My availability varies depending on my work schedule and festival bookings, so we can arrange meeting times on a case-by-case basis in order to meet your needs.

Before you begin lessons, I would recommend reviewing my videos on "How to Play the Mountain Dulcimer" as an introduction. My book and DVD set Mountain Dulcimer Wildflowers will also be a good introduction to the playing style you will be learning and provide you with materials to help build your repertoire.
