NEW MOUNTAIN DULCIMER WORKSHOP - “Dulcimer Renaissance”: (Sun., Jan. 19, 2025): With the birth of a new year, I invite you to a rebirth of music with the mountain dulcimer! To celebrate the new year, my next online workshop will feature dance music from the time of the Renaissance, an exciting era of intellectual and artistic “rebirth.” Our selections will include Vincenzo Galilei’s “Saltarello,” Michael Praetorius’ “Volte,” “Branle de Bourgogne,” and “Branle des Chevaux (The Horse’s Branle).” Please bring a capo! Arrangements will be suitable for intermediate to advanced level players. Registration will be $15 per participant. I will send you a Zoom meeting link and a PayPal link (or Square invoice upon request) once you RSVP by messaging me on Facebook or emailing me at [email protected].

I am delighted to be able to reconnect with the Lagniappe Dulcimer Society; I have fond memories of participating in their fetes many years ago! The society is hosting me to teach several workshops and perform a concert at the Bluebonnet Library.
