Digging Deeper, Taking Root:
Refining Technique for Mountain Dulcimer
Sunday, July 7, 2024
1-2:30 p.m. CDT in Zoom
NEW MTN. DULCIMER WORKSHOP (July 7, 2024): The secret to freedom and flow in your mountain dulcimer playing is getting grounded in secure and solid techniques. These are the strong foundations to help you feel confident in your playing and build your musicianship. Our next workshop will be an interactive experience to help you grow in the following skills: clean fretting, smooth transitions and connectedness between notes and chords, sustain, seating posture and optimal instrument position, picking technique, as well as solid technique for ornamentation. Besides this, you will be provided with a skills checklist to help you set goals for your growth in playing. This workshop is specifically tailored for those wishing to accelerate their growth and fill in learning gaps (at the novice, intermediate, and advanced levels). Registration will be $15 per participant. I will send you a Zoom meeting link and a PayPal link (or Square invoice upon request) once you RSVP by messaging me on Facebook or emailing me at [email protected].
Also, please see my "Letter to Friends Regarding Recordings of Workshops" (4-28-2024).
